After Top Commander of Hizbul trapped, Mobile Internet suspended in Kashmir

Mobile Internet services suspended in Kashmir today after top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen terror group Riaz Naikoo, along with another militant, was trapped in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district, officials said.

As a precautionary measure the mobile Internet has been suspended on wednesday,they said.

Meanwhile, two militants were killed in a separate encounter in Sharshali Khrew area in Awantipora. Kashmir Zone Police said the encounter began at 1 am and is still ongoing.

The gunfight started between militants and security forces in the Beighpora area of Pulwama district in south Kashmir, a police spokesman said.

In the period of last month there is a increase in militant attacks. On Monday evening, three CRPF men were martyred after militants attacked joint checkpoint in Handwara.
As per J-K Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh anti-militancy operations will be intensified further in coming time.
