Two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, the newly formed Union-territory on mastering the situation by US ambassador to India Kenneth along with envoys from 15 different countries arrived at Srinagar official airport on Thursday 9 January.
This will be a second visit of foreign delegation after the abrogation of article 370 on 5 August 2019 and visiting the newly formed Union territories- Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
The officials said, They arrived on Srinagar’s technical airport to recieve the Envoys at airport.
They would later on be going to Jammu the winter capital of newly formed Union-territory for a overnight stay. They will meet Lt Governor GC Murmu as well as civil society members, they said.

The European Union decided a different date as they stressed on meeting the former chief ministers – Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti – who are under detention.
They wanted to examine the situation on ground level.
The officials told on Wednesday, Brazil’s envoy André Aranha Correa do Lago was also the one to visit Jammu and Kashmir. However, he backed out because of his preoccupation.
Besides the US, the delegation includes diplomats from Bangladesh, Vietnam, Norway, Maldives, South Korea, Morocco, and Nigeria, among others.
