‘Modi go back’: Protests held in AP before PM’s visit


New Delhi:One day ago PM Modi faced huge protest and black flag in Assam, Today he is campaigning in Andhra Pradesh. During this visit he also facing tough poster war and protest.as per report Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Andhra Pradesh for the first time after the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) broke out of an alliance with the BJP last year. PM Modi landed in Vijaywada’s Gannavaram airport, where he was received by the Governor. After a rally in Guntur, PM will visit Tiruppur and Raichur later today. Ahead of PM Modi’s visit, The TDP, Congress and Left parties are protesting and large posters of “No more Modi”and “Modi never again” can be seen across the state.
The protestors chanted “Modi go back!”. They also carried black flags and staged sit-in protests in many places. Posters have come up across Guntur city with the slogan “Modi go back” and “Modi no entry”.One of the hoardings shows PM Modi running with a large number of angry people chasing him down while, in the other, he can be seen hanging his head. The crowd has been displayed in the shape of Andhra Pradesh’s map, alluding to the anguish of the state against the Centre.
Though no political party has taken responsibility for the act, TDP National Spokesperson Dinakar Lanka said that billboards indicate the anger of the Andhra Pradesh’s people.Meanwhile, BJP demanded police action against the people who have put up the billboards. Police said that they have ordered the municipal authorities to remove the ‘obejectionable’ hoardings, adding they are probing the matter to find out the motive behind the act.Mr Naidu is upset with the Narendra Modi government and accused PM Modi of not keeping his promise of giving special category status to the state.
