PM Modi addressed the public on vital aspects of the menace of COVID-19. In keeping the impact he ordered for the nationwide complete lockdown will be in place for 21 days – 3 weeks.
The total number of Coronavirus positive cases rise to 536 in India reported by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
The Ministry of Home affairs issues order prescribing 21-day lockdown countrywide.
He said, if we will not be able to be cooperative to manage this 21 days then our nation will be pushed back to 21 years. He requested the citizens of the India to maintain social distancing and stay at your home as that is the only option to be safe and reduce the impact of the deadly disease, Coronavirus.
Today evening, he also interacted with the Doctors, nurses and lab technicians where they shared their insights and experiences of tackling COVID-19 and lauded them for their exceptional efforts.

Lockdown of 21 days is a long time, but this is important for you and your family’s safety. I believe that every Indian will not only successfully tackle this challenge but also emerge victorious in this time of crisis, said PM.
He made sure all essential services to continue and remain functional. List of essential services remains unchanged since the March 22nd ‘Janta Curfew’.
He explained with a poster that a Coronavirus infected person initially appears to be normal and doesn’t show symptoms. So maintain precautions and stay at home.

CM Yogi Adityanath assured essential items to be delivered at door steps: Uttarpradesh
In view of 21 days lockdown in nation, CM yogi adityanath said, I would like to assure the 23 crore people of Uttar Pradesh that we have enough stock of essential items like vegetables,milk,medicines etc. For the safety of you and your family don’t step out of your houses & maintain social distance.”
” From tomorrow vegetables, milk, fruits, medicines and other essential commodities will be delivered to your door steps for which we have identified more than 10,000 vehicles, “said, CM Yogi Adityanath.
He appeal to people to not go to market to buy essential items.
Sabarimala temple festival and all other festivals cancelled
In view of the country wide lockdown,Sabarimala Temple festival which is scheduled to be begin on March 29 has been cancelled.TDB has also decided to cancel all festivals in other temples of Kerala that comes under the Board:Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB).
Ministry of Home Affairs has released guidelines for the 21-day lockdown, list of essential services that will remain open.

The ministry also released the Offences and Penalties under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 that would be applicable under the current lockdown in the country.
