President Trump suggested to shoot migrants

WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump is so impatient to stop immigration in the United States that he suggested the border wall be electrified with spikes on top that could pierce human flesh, and proposed that it should be fortified with a “water-filled trench” with “snakes or alligators”, during a March meeting with the White House advisors in the Oval Office, The New York Times reported.
The president also suggested electrifying the border wall and fortifying it with spikes, and deterring migrants with a moat stocked with snakes or alligators, according to the Times, which excerpted the upcoming book Border Wars: Inside Trump’s Assault on Immigration.

Based on interviews with dozens of officials within the White House and the administration, Times reporters Michael D Shear and Julie Hirschfeld Davis recount “a frenzied week of presidential rages” in March, during which Trump’s “zeal to stop immigration had sent him lurching for solutions, one more extreme than the next”.The president is said to have pushed for the illegal action during a private meeting. He also suggested creating a border moat filled with snakes or alligators, on numerous occasions.Despite the unorthodox nature of the idea, the 73-year-old’s aides sought a cost estimate for the moat, according to The New York Times.Mr Trump hoped the moat would accompany his border wall. The president was frustrated and I think he took that moment to hit the reset button,” said Thomas D. Homan, who had served as Mr. Trump’s acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, recalling that week in March. “The president wanted it to be fixed quickly.”
