Kashmir Police has done appreciable investigation in the cases related to militancy, law & order in the past one year which has helped in bringing perpetrators of the crime to justice.
This was stated by Director General of Police J&K Dr S.P. Vaid while addressing police personnel at a Darbar held in DPL Srinagar.
The Darbar was attended by ADGP Munir Ahmed Khan, DIG South Kashmir, DIG North Kashmir, all SSsP of the districts of South Kashmir Range, three districts of Central Range and SSsP of different wings.
In his address, the DGP said he was proud of the “achievements” of the J&K police personnel whose efforts have brought laurels.
The DGP while highlighting the welfare measures taken by the PHQ with the help of the State government said that some proposals with the regard to rank promotions and health are under the consideration of the government. He said he and his team will continue to strive for more welfare measures in the coming year.
He said that the Central government has agreed in principle to provide funds for the construction of 3000 quarters at Srinagar and 2000 quarters at Jammu for the safe housing of police personnel. For their work 93 officers and personnel were decorated with ranks and conversion orders of 146 SPOs as constables were distributed on this occasion.
